Fowey

Fowey, pronounced Foy, is a historic port on the south coast of Cornwall.  As an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Fowey has something for everyone:-

  • A natural harbour, with 7.000 visiting yachts a season
  • Walks - from a gentle stroll along the Esplanade to a hike on the Cornish Coastal path or the Saints Way

(Daphne du Maurier's house at Boddinick)

  • Beaches - Cornwall has miles of beautiful beaches - from the charming coves of the south coast, to the rolling surf on the North Coast.  Fowey has its own beach, Readymoney Cove, and is within easy reach of many others.
  • An excellent selection of quality shops and galleries; a wide variety of places to eat - from cream teas to gourmet dinners.  And don't forget the Cornish pasties!
  • Nearby attractions include the world famous Eden Project; the Lost Gardens of Heligan; the pretty fishing village of Polperro; Lanhydrock House, and many others.
